Three things that matter
Know the date and the county. Know roughly what is owed. Know whether you still have the right to sell. Everything else, including the carpet, can wait.
A cash closing still takes title work. Same-day miracles are not a plan. Call when you get the letter, not the week you have given up.
After a sale is a different problem
If the sale already happened, redemption or surplus money may be the issue, depending on the county. The excess-proceeds page on this site covers money left over after a sale. Read that page for the process. Do not assume the extra money is automatic.
The full page stays at its current address: Sell before the tax sale.
Questions
Can you close in a few days?
Sometimes. You pick a date, and title has to be able to meet it. Tell us the sale date on the first call.
